I dedicate this post to how awesome Japanese tissue paper is. The cover of this leftist pamphlet from our Van Sickle collection was in taters (luckily no one had tried to tape it back together yet). After removing the rusty staples I was left with a gnarled cover in two, almost three, separate pieces. I carefully unfolded everything that was bunched together then mended all the tears from the back with Japanese tissue paper and wheat paste. The before and after results are below.
